LISS is useful because it's simple, not very difficult, and can be done anywhere. Even if you're tired and even if you don't have access to a gym, you can do it. You can just go for a walk outside or around the mall if you want.

HIIT is useful because you can get it over with faster since you burn a lot of calories in very little time. However, it is taxing and can impair recovery from your workouts if you do it too often or too close to a leg workout.

The one that is never talked about is moderate intensity which is actually my personal favorite since it combines the benefits of LISS and HIIT.

Overall, no one really likes cardio but we do it because it's healthy and it's a way to burn calories. Therefore, I recommend selecting a method that makes you the least miserable while you're doing it since you're much more likely to stick with it than with a method that has you hating every second of it. Bit of a Repost on Building the booty. I still get daily DMs on people asking whether squats are the best for building your glutes. Although squats can help they shouldn’t be your priority. Read below 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 Your booty is not just to turn people’s heads it is beneficial for performance and injury prevention.

Have you ever heard someone say “the anterior (front) is for show (chest, biceps, abs) and posterior is for go (booty, hamstrings, back)”. It’s pretty self explanatory but the booty and hamstrings are for more than a neck breaker, they are built for performance.

To build your butt without building your legs you emphasise using exercises known as “hip dominant”. Generally most of these exercises have the knees almost straight and use the hip to perform the movement to force your booty to do the work.

First thing is first...whether you workout in the morning or evening or anywhere in between, the fact that you're getting one in is what matters. Some people will say the morning is better because of XY and Z and others will say the evening is better, but truthfully it is what you prefer and your preference!

However, there are benefits and detriments to working out at different times of the day! Working out in the morning is a great way to start the day, kicks up your metabolism to a whole new level of burning, is usually when you're the most awake to get it done, and definitely gets you energized for the rest of the day not to mention it's over and done with and you don't have to worry about it later! However, you have less food in you, thus less fuel, and if you're not an early bird, you're probably not going to have too much fun doing it bright and early😂! On the other hand, working out in the evening is one of the best destressers from the day, you'll be able to lift more from the additional food in your system (more food means more fuel) and you can sleep in an extra hour or so, but you may have to push through fatigue that you gained throughout the day and psychologically it is a bit harder to have gone through a whole work day, still knowing that you have to workout.

I know that whenever I wanted to learn more about what to eat on a refeed day or even when to have this I would go to researching and reading many different sources. One thing I learned is that it is more important to focus on carbohydrates on a refeed. ⠀ ⠀ The "Guidelines for carbohydrate intake⠀ recommend a range of 3–5 g/kg of absolute body weight per day for athletes competing in low ⠀ intensity, skill-based sports and 6–10 g/kg/day for endurance sport athletes (1–3 h/day moderate to⠀ high intensity exercise)"⠀ ⠀ ⠀ I will state this or attempt to in every post I make about these studies, reviews, and articles. I will not be able to cover every detail about them in a description, it would require a lot more text or a youtube video to summarize the material. This review covered different methods of intermittent dieting in comparison to continuous energy restriction while also observing different methods such as the ketogenic diet. Additionally, the review compared the different impacts that the difference in feeding habits had on hormones, and macro consumption. Now, there are a couple details to keep in mind: ⁣⁣

First of all, we want to start the exercise with our shoulders protracted (fully stretched) 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐥, we want to retract them (pulling our shoulder blades back & chest out). If you want to grow your lats you need to make sure you understand THIS part of the movement really well. ⁣⁣

BENCH PRESS & SHOULDER PAIN This is a major issue when it comes to bench pressing, and most newbies simply won't figure out this cue by themselves, unless trying and re-trying until "it doesn't hurt anymore". Lucky for you, I'm here at rescue. The Acromioclavicular Joint Pain, which is that chronic pain in the front of your shoulder, is very common for those people who tend to bench press with the bar "sitting" too high on the way down. The bar bath of a bench press is "an arch" and should always be performed as such. Keeping your shoulderblades together, keeping your arms at a relative 75 degree angle, maintaining a proper arch and sticking your chest out, will naturally allow the bar to come down nice and smooth at the nipple height without an issue. On the other hand, flaring your elbows out won't allow your shoulderblades to be tucked back in, and that will disengage your pec muscles, putting alot of pressure on your front delts. Reason why you develop chronic pain and you give up free weights for machines.
